I contacted Propheter Home and Handyman services to have some electrical work done on our house before we moved out. Chris immediately was in touch to schedule a time for Marc to come out and look over what needed to be done. Marc patiently went over what he would need to do, time it would take, and materials needed. Later the same day we had a very competitive quote, which we agreed to move forward with.
Marc showed up on time, was prepared for the work we discussed, and got everything taken care of ahead of the schedule he provided. When finished, he cleaned up and took the time to go through and explain everything he did and answer any questions. The invoice was exactly as quoted with no surprises.

Marc Propheter worked on two projects for us. The first was a porch redo...we had dry rot in posts and rails. He replaced posts and helped us transition to an open porch that would allow for chairs. The posts match...porch saved! it was a great job!
Three weeks ago we had a bad leak in our kitchen faucet. We had the replacement ready to install but my husband was struggling with some of the bolts on the old faucet that were frozen. Mark helped us same day. Faucet went right in! Great job!

Timing for needing a plumber is never ideal. And so it goes, the night before my husband and I were leaving to go out of town, we noticed our hot water tank not only leaking, but no hot water produced.
Our parents were going to be staying at our house over our absence, so we needed it fixed, but we also didn't have any time for it with a flight in the morning. We called Propheter Home Services, and
explained the issue, and Menards to get a tank delivered to our driveway. Marc came over promptly the next day, hauled the new one down to the basement, replaced the water tank and thenhauled the old one out to the curb for garbage day. He even cleaned up the water in the basement, and honestly left the area cleaner than when he arrived. Propheter Home Services delivered reliable, worry-free, reasonably priced, and excellent service, and we won't hesitate calling them again.

We have had the fortunate experience of working with Marc on several projects around our house. Marc can truly fix almost anything and if he doesn’t know something, he will research it until he finds the answer. He is meticulous both in his work and clean up. We had a recurring issue with our trash compactor foot pedal and had it repaired at least twice by an appliance repairman only to have the foot pedal break within a day. Marc took the extra time to figure out what was actually causing the problem and it hasn’t broken again since! Among many other repairs he has done, he also replaced all of our spindles on our stairs with beautiful wrought iron spindles and replaced our columns and spindles on our front porch to compliment the inside spindles. It has always been a pleasure to have Marc in our home, as he is trustworthy, friendly, and honest. Whether it’s a small or big job, Marc will get it done.
